What's so bad about it? Can you compare other Computer manufacturers' laptop with this in 1992. The PowerBook was light years ahead.
 

And don't forget, Apple invented the modern laptop layout with the keys near the screen and palm rests and pointing device below - that was revolutionary at the time.
 

The powerbook was the only product at the time apple did right. The thing is they kinda squandered it until the titanium powerbook. The add points out the all the good press they were getting at the time. IF they would have realized that laptops were the way to go back then they may not have gotten in to a deep hole that steve had to dig them out of.
 

That ad is targeted at business users not everyday consumers
 

I truly believe that we have reached the point where technology has become one with our world, and I am 99% certain that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.


I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as memory gets less expensive, the possibility of copying our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's one of the things I really wish I could see in my lifetime.
